Songs From Home Vol.1

With the effects of the coronavirus pandemic and lockdown in full swing, the band experimented with making songs remotely. This resulted in a fully self written, recorded and produced EP featuring two fan favourite collaboration singles: 'Some Kinda Way (feat. Liana Flores)' and 'Always On My Mind (feat. Ghetto Orange)'. The EP has been praised for it's creativity and for showcasing Mengelmoes' stylistic flare and versatility. Both 'Some Kinda Way' and 'Always On My Mind' were described as "amazing" by BBC INTRODUCING IN NORFOLK.

2020 Singles
Released April - July 2020
Recorded in James' house in December 2019, the Mengels teamed up https://youtu.be/BUe24_kKIa8 'Igniter' producer Nina McKendrick to create a series of singles that were released during the first UK lockdown of 2020. Each single delves into a different genre of Mengelmoes' sound pallet - from straight jazz to funk, piano ballads to latin rhythms. Give them a listen to find your favourite colour.

Purple Lady
Released January 1st 2020
New Years Day saw the release of the bands most successful single yet. As their prize for winning the Rocket from the East music competition, the band spent a day September 2019 in The Mill Recording Studio with producer Tom Joy. 8 hours and four meal deals later, Purple Lady had been conceived.

Igniter LP
Released July 5th 2019
Having experienced success on BBC INTRODUCING after the release of The Arendonk Re-Demos, Mengelmoes were ready to record a full length album. After 9 months in James' garage and producer Nina McKendrick's bedroom, a 13 track Igniter instantly became beloved by fans, paired with a joyous album release show at The Waterfront Studio, Norwich. Unsurprisingly, the genre-crossing piece showcases the band's versatility and flare for music, with the tracks shaped to enable for a unique sonic story.

The Arendonk Re-Demos EP
Released November 8th 2018
In the summer of 2017, James and Tiago (aged 16) and a 15 year old Jake flew over to Arendonk, Belgium in order to record 5 demo tracks for their newly formed band 'Entertaining the Enigma'. A year later, after a change of name and addition of guitarist Taegan, the band returned to producer Jeroen Dhondt took a couple of hours out of their Belgian Tour record some additional parts, namely guitar. As the name suggests, the released re-demos amalgamate the efforts made in both the 2017 and 2018 summers. A packed launch show was held at the B2, Norwich
